This hike will give you amazing views of the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park, Canada. In the late season when the first snow starts to fall, keep in mind the trails can be very muddy and slippery. This trail can be a difficult one to follow because of the wide open space you hike through, be sure to do some research on Wilcox Peak and on the Wilcox Pass trail itself on the hike before setting out. Depending on how far you decide to go, this could be an easy 2 mile hike or a 13 mile hike round trip. We were out exploring the pass and admiring the big horn sheep that roamed for roughly 8 hours, and covered 13 miles the the glacial fields.
